Soft Chick — Ordinary Girl
"Ordinary Girl" is a short doc about Cambodian American Artist Soft Chick and how their experience working at a bikini coffee shop inspired their view of what it means to be femme in a male dominated world. Wearing six inch platform shoes, they traversed through various neighborhoods of Long Beach, including Cambodia Town where they grew up, with their painting in tow in search of people in the community to fill the blank space of the canvas. This is an ongoing piece that they continue to have folks participate with.
